Karl Stephens Pacific Northwest Inc.
Executive Carpentry services for your Home and Business.
I am a not currently a Contractor. This means that I am not licensed by the city or state.
If I were a contractor my
prices would be more than double.
If you need a contractor there can be no substitute.

Some jobs are too small for a contractor to look at or even return your call therefore, my services can fill that void between doing it yourself and hiring a contractor.
Oddly my niche seems to be helping those
that are helping themselves. Ninety percent of my
customers use me over and over to help occasionally over the
course of a project. So, I come in and do a day's work to
help further your project as needed and help you through a
rough spot.
I am the guy other carpenters call to do
the work on their houses. I have worked and continue
to work on all my past superintendents homes as well.
I joke sometimes that I am a "dream facilitator" as I
perform so many different tasks.
From concrete/footings to framing,
sheetrock, tape & texture, painting, cabinets to hardwood
floors, doors & windows, casing/trim/moldings and more.
I do this for a living. My services offer you an alternative to dealing with the constraints of contractors. I encourage my clients to work with me doing as much physical (hands on) as they can whereby controlling both quality and cost. Currently my offerings include all the tools and experience required for any project. You will need to obtain any permits required by the city or county. I can talk you through that process with no problem.
You would hire me for projects ranging from a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars. Currently I am scheduling projects for 2009. *Note on rates
Doctor, Dentist, Lawyer, Optician, Therapist, Banker, Broker, Beautician. You have chosen these specialists due to the trust you have developed over time.
Yet, when you want carpentry/construction services you go to the yellow pages, find a stranger and, ultimately hire the lowest bidder to come to your home or Business to fulfill your needs
Stop doing that.
Don't take carpentry from strangers.
The bad contractor horror stories never
cease to amaze. Told to me by customers, owners, and end
users. Stories about how they wanted some type of
construction/carpentry and how disappointed they were with
the work that was performed or by the lack of quality/work
ethic demonstrated by the contractor's employees.
The reason for this can be that you get the same trades people whether you are building a track house or a multi million dollar single residence.
That being said, I am offering my services to assist you to achieve your desired goal. As your carpenter I am dedicated to do the best job possible now and in the future. I want you to call me back to do more work in the future as well.
I am currently developing a client list of (repeat) customers.
I am honest, timely, skilled, tooled, and experienced with a wide and varied knowledge base that will be needed to complete your project. I have more than 24 successful years in the building industry as a carpenter trades man. I have been exposed to problems and solutions that will insure the level of quality, and timeliness that you should have every right to expect when paying money for construction services. You will not find me in the yellow pages as I am not a contractor. I do this full time for a living. I am familiar with an ever revolving network of other trades people who may be needed for your project.
Lets talk about your project and what I can bring to it.

Originally from New England, I moved up from Fresno Ca. in 1993 to work for a institutional casework manufacturer a.k.a. cabinet company. I
was a carpenter/Forman cabinet installer for 13 years. I have personally installed millions of dollars of commercial casework (cabinets) all over the Pacific Northwest. Click to see some of my work.
Please see my references and past projects links to the left for more.
I am in my mid 40's and an avid outdoors person. If not working I am Skiing, Mtn. biking, hiking, climbing, camping, rollerblading or any combination of the other adventure sport(ings). I am a non smoking clean cut individual. I embrace technology and another of my hobbies is
digital media, web authoring, multimedia production. I am literate in most Microsoft office programs. Another passion of mine is a web site I host in dedication to my love of our Columbia River Gorge adventure sports. www.SeeYouOutside.com
I have been a full time Carpenter since 1992. In that time I have been involved with many interesting and sizable projects here in the Portland/Vancouver area as well as nation wide. A few of the projects are Jim Parsley Ctr, Vancouver, Illahee High school Vancouver, Shalala High school Vancouver, IDT Hillsboro, LSI Gresham, Intel D1B, Western View High School Beaverton, Liberty High School Beaverton, David Douglas High School, Motorola MOS13 Austin Tx, Kern Radiological Bakersfield Ca, California Cancer Ctr. Fresno Ca, Kaiser Permanente Fresno Ca, Clark County Center for Community health, Park Rose high school, Clackamas Mall,
and the list grows each year.
